| All of our carpentry projects involve the use of some or all reclaimed lumber and materials. we see ourselves as helpers of the forest not destroyers of it.
Manitoulin Island has most of the oldest barns in Ontario and certainly has the largest concentration of these giant buildings at over 600 still standing on the Island.
Each piece of furniture or renovation we treat like a work of art using beams, boards and metal fasteners rich with Island history and character.
Our cedar comes from either our partners at Forest Tech who use trees harvested from their managed forest or dead fall trees from one of our properties that we cut to size and mill into usable lumber.
We keep a large inventory of reclaimed barn lumber, cedar and metal in our work shop located in Kagawong on Manitoulin Island. We pre-build & pre-fab as much as we can in our shop and then move the pieces south for easy installation, this makes any project faster and less messy.
